Price calculation can often be extremely complicated. This document covers the data needed by anyone to solve pricing issues. This is where the end user is seeing a price that is not what they expect in a system such as Macola, Dashboard, eCommerce, PO Generator, etc.
The first step in troubleshooting incorrect prices is gathering data. Quite often the very act of going through this step solves the problem by identifying something that is not set up correctly. For us to help you, please provide the data below. Note that all of it will not apply to your situation.
- Macola order #
- Customer PO #
- Customer #
- Your Macola Item Number
- Your customer’s item number
- List price at item / location level
- Macola Price code type (1-8)
- Relevant values for Macola price code type (i.e. Customer Type & Item Number)
- Are the price codes you are expecting the system to use expired?
- Are quantity ranges involved (i.e. 1-500 costs $50. 501-1000 costs $45)?
- Is the Vendor Item master involved? If so, what are the pricing/ quantity levels?
- What is the incorrect price being displayed? What price are you expecting to see instead? Explain your reasoning.
