Ship Station allows Pulse eCommerce to communicate with different marketplaces, eCommerce platforms, and 3PLs, all with a single connection/mapping. For example, a company that uses Walmart, Shopify, Amazon, Ebay, and Etsy can get orders from all these different sources from a single Ship Station account. This means Pulse eCommerce only requires a single mapping (a Ship Station mapping) to be set up. When an order ships in Macola and a tracking number is generated, Pulse eCommerce will send this information back to Ship Station, which then sends this information on to Walmart, Shopify, Ebay, Etsy, etc.
How do I connect Pulse eCommerce to Ship Station?
- Login to Ship Station.
- Click on the little gear on the upper right portion of the screen. If this is not available, your user account will need to be granted administrative access.
- Click on Account at the left navigational menu.
- Click on API access.
- Click on “Generate API Keys”
- Sometimes Ship Station support will need to activate this for you, especially on newly created Ship Station accounts. If you encounter any trouble with this step, contact Ship Station support.
- Copy the API Key, and API Secret.
- Open Pulse eCommerce.
- Click on Settings \ Integration Setup
- Click on the “Ship Station Order” mapping. If this mapping does not appear, it will need to be imported. It could also be created from scratch. See documentation for importing mappings/schemas.
- Click edit mapped fields.
- Paste the two settings from Ship Station into the static values for:
- shipstation.apiKey
- shipstation.apiSecret
- Note the setting shipStation.CreateDateStart. This must be populated to only bring in orders after a certain date/time. All orders can be brought into a test Macola company at first, but this setting must be populated prior to go-live. The date/time is down the the second. It should be formatted like this:
- 2023-12-05 01:00:59
- In this example above, only orders brought into Ship Station after 12/5/2023 at 1:00:59PM will be imported by Pulse eCommerce. Copy/Paste the date shown above and modify it to avoid typos.
- Click save/close on all screens.
- Import orders. All the ship Station orders will import into Pulse eCommerce.
